Justin Bieber’s recent behavior has fans and legal experts raising eyebrows, and some are now wondering if a conservatorship could actually be in his future.
According to celebrity attorney Jamie Wright, Hailey Bieber could move to legally take control if she convinces the court of three critical points.
Over the past few weeks, Justin’s social media posts have been bizarre, emotional, and downright troubling. From cryptic religious rants to incoherent selfies, the 31-year-old pop star’s followers have started asking the hard question: is Justin okay? And more importantly, could Hailey, his wife, step in to take control before things spiral even more?
“If his behavior is as troubling as it looks, with erratic posts, emotional breakdowns, and public signs of instability, then yes, a conservatorship could absolutely be on the table,” said Wright in an exclusive chat with The U.S. Sun. She clarified, however, that this isn’t some easy move. “Conservatorships are legal nuclear options,” she added.
In California, a conservatorship allows someone to legally manage another adult’s health, finances, and personal decisions if they’re deemed unfit to handle those themselves. It’s the same legal setup that Britney Spears famously fought her way out of, so the court system is now extra cautious. “Post-Britney, no one takes this lightly,” Wright noted.
So, what would Hailey Bieber or even Justin’s mom, Pattie Mallette, need to prove to the court? According to Wright, they’d have to show that Justin is no longer capable of making rational choices, that he may be a danger to himself or others, including his newborn son, or that he can’t manage his financial empire responsibly.
Let’s be real, if this actually goes to court and gets approved, it would be a massive shift. Justin could lose control over his health decisions, money, and even the custody of his child, Jack Blues Bieber, who he and Hailey welcomed in August 2024. The couple first announced the pregnancy in May, and the baby’s name carries special meaning, tying back to Justin’s family roots.
The legal expert also made it clear that a move like this wouldn’t just rock Justin’s personal life, it could destroy brand deals, endorsements, and tour plans. “This would raise huge reputational issues,” she warned. “He’s young, powerful, and high-profile, so expect serious public scrutiny and pushback.”
Despite the possible PR storm, Wright insists that when safety, especially of a child, is at stake, the law doesn’t hesitate. “If this situation escalates, the courts will step in,” she said. “No one is untouchable.”
Justin’s recent activity on social media has only fueled the speculation. He’s posted multiple cryptic messages, some referencing drug use, exhaustion, and the struggles of living under constant pressure. In one Instagram Story, he asked if ketamine has been used to control people’s emotions, quoting an AI chatbot that claimed it has.
In another post, Justin said he was drained after being told to “work harder,” writing, “I’ve given everything I have to give.” He followed that up with rants about how life shouldn’t revolve around work and that trying to better himself only made him feel worse.
“I thought the point was to think about one another,” he wrote. “Join me in letting go of not trying harder.” These captions, paired with distressed selfies, have left fans worried and critics questioning his mental state.
Adding fuel to the fire is a financial drama that could seriously impact Justin’s future. TMZ reports claim he owes his former manager, Scooter Braun, over $8 million, a staggering figure that only complicates things further if Hailey ever does file for conservatorship.
Wright didn’t sugarcoat what this could mean for Justin. “If deemed unfit, he could lose control of almost everything, his money, his health decisions, even parenting rights. That would absolutely pressure his marriage, and the public fallout would be massive.”
No one wants to see another celebrity spiraling in real-time, but with growing concern over Justin Bieber’s erratic behavior, the talk of conservatorship isn’t going away anytime soon. The legal bar is high, but the court doesn’t ignore red flags, especially when a child is involved.
