Rebecca Loos is doubling down on her past claims, insisting she “never lied” about her alleged affair with David Beckham in the early 2000s.
In a new interview with 60 Minutes Australia, the 46-year-old former model defended her decision to go public two decades ago, calling it a “very brave thing to do.”
“I have stuck to the truth. I’ve never exaggerated. I never lied about a single thing,” Loos said. “Why? Because I’m going up against the strongest, most powerful couple in the media who have all the money in the world for the best PR, the best lawyers. And all I had on my side was the truth.”
Loos made international headlines back in 2004 when she claimed she had an affair with Beckham while he was playing for Real Madrid. At the time, David had recently married Victoria Beckham, and the story sparked a media frenzy. He denied the allegations then, and has continued to do so ever since.
In her latest comments, Loos accused Beckham of “playing the victim” in his recent Netflix documentary Beckham, where he addressed the toll the scandal took on his marriage.
“I understand he has an image to preserve, but he is portraying himself as the victim and he’s making me look like a liar,” she told the Daily Mail. “It’s all, ‘Poor me.’ He needs to take responsibility.”
Loos also revealed more about their alleged communication, claiming they only sexted when Beckham initiated it. “You have got to remember, he is a married man. What if he is at lunch with Victoria? You have to wait for him to come to you,” she said in a 2004 Sky News interview.

In Beckham, the football legend described the period as one of the most difficult times in his life. “I don’t know how we got through it in all honesty. Victoria is everything to me,” he said. “To see her hurt was incredibly difficult, but we’re fighters. What we had was worth fighting for.”
Loos, however, believes the documentary misrepresents the truth. “Yes, the stories were horrible, but they’re true,” she said. “He talks in the documentary about this ultimately being his private life, shutting it down. I think it’s one thing to keep your private life to yourself. It’s another thing to mislead the public.”
The controversy, which once dominated headlines, is clearly far from settled. Whether the public believes Loos or sides with Beckham, her latest comments have reignited interest in one of pop culture’s most enduring scandals.
