“I’m on one knee, I’m wearing the mask, I’m holding up the ring. And because it had been five years, she couldn’t place the mask. She didn’t know what it was,” Franco hilariously revealed on The Late Late Show With James Corden (per People.) “So, what she sees is me wearing this weird, stupid mask, holding up this janky stone ring … And so, the entire proposal is her saying, ‘What is happening right now?’ And it’s me trying to explain how sweet it is that I kept the mask for five years.”
Dave Franco and Alison Brie Continue To Romance Each Other To This Day
They’ve been together now for over a decade, but Alison Brie and Dave Franco continue to romance each other to this day. According to the couple, since they’re often away from each other due to film projects, it’s super important for them to keep the bond intact by sending each other little love notes every night via text.
“We have to spend a decent amount of time apart because of work,” said Franco while speaking to USA Today. “So we’ve done this thing from the very beginning that when we’re going to bed at night, instead of just sending a text, we essentially write a mini-love letter to each other.”
Brie responded by saying, “We call them GLLs: ‘Goodnight Love Letters.’”
“No matter what you’ve gone through that day and how tired you are, it forces you to sit there and think about the other person before you end your day,” Franco added.
“And really think about why you love that person,” said Brie. “We’re constantly taking stock of why we’re grateful for this relationship.”
