Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez are officially married, and they did it in true billionaire fashion, with a lavish wedding in Venice, Italy.
The Amazon founder and his longtime partner tied the knot on June 27 in a glamorous black-tie ceremony on the picturesque island of San Giorgio Maggiore. With under 200 guests in attendance, the event was as star-studded as it was intimate.
The couple’s guest list was a who’s who of celebrity royalty, including Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner, Orlando Bloom, and Eva Longoria, all descending on Venice to celebrate the couple’s big day. The setting? Classic Italian elegance. The vibe? Ultra-glam meets fairy tale.
Lauren’s brother, Paul Sánchez, wasn’t kidding when he told TMZ earlier this year that the wedding would be “huge and fun” and likened it to the royal wedding of Princess Diana and Prince Charles. He nailed it, because the celebration had all the grandeur and glitter that Hollywood and tech empires combined can buy.
Their engagement became public back in May 2023 when Lauren was spotted with a sparkling ring while vacationing in the south of France. But before she could walk down the aisle, she quite literally soared into outer space. In April 2024, Lauren launched into space aboard a Blue Origin rocket alongside Katy Perry, Gayle King, and an all-women crew. They journeyed 62 miles above Earth to the Kármán line, the invisible edge of space.
After the mission, Lauren said she was thrilled to come back home to Jeff. “All the love that was in that capsule, and all the heart and the feelings, and seeing Jeff before I left, I just had to come back. I mean, we’re getting married! If I didn’t come back, that would be a bummer for me,” she told Blue Origin after landing.
Their relationship isn’t just about red carpets and rocket launches, it’s also deeply rooted in family. Between Jeff’s four kids with ex-wife MacKenzie Scott and Lauren’s three children from previous relationships, the pair proudly navigate their big blended family. “On a typical Saturday, we hang out, we have dinner with the kids… We are the Brady Bunch!” Lauren told WSJ Magazine in January 2023.
Lauren has spoken openly about the strength of her co-parenting relationships, especially with her eldest son Nikko’s father, former NFL player Tony Gonzalez. “Tony and his wife are my best friends. Tony and Tobie were at Thanksgiving with us this year,” she shared. “I’m so proud of it. My son looks at me, and he’s like, ‘I’m the luckiest boy in the world because I can have Thanksgiving with both my parents, and they don’t have to be married.’”
And the admiration goes both ways. Jeff once told CNN that Lauren is “the most generous, most big-hearted person you would ever meet.” He added, “She is generous with somebody she just meets; she’s generous with every person, and she’s generous in the large too.”
From space missions to blended family dinners and now a dream wedding in Venice, Jeff and Lauren’s journey together has been anything but ordinary. Now officially husband and wife, they’ve added another chapter to their already extraordinary love story.
