The rapper, now going by Ye, shocked everyone when he revealed in court that Bianca is his official power of attorney. Yep, this bombshell came out while he was being pushed to hand over documents in a 2024 lawsuit filed against him and his companies. The twist? This is all happening while rumors swirl that Kanye and Bianca might be heading for a split.
According to In Touch, Ye made the reveal in legal documents after Benjamin Deshon Provo, who’s suing Kanye, complained that he’s been trying for weeks to get paperwork from him. That’s when Kanye’s team said he wouldn’t hand over a document titled Designation of Agency unless there was a protective order in place. And that’s where it gets spicy: in that document, Kanye confirms Bianca as his power of attorney and agent. That means she can legally act on his behalf for business and personal matters.
But Benjamin wasn’t impressed. In fact, he straight-up “scoffed” at the idea that a protective order was necessary just to prove who Kanye’s POA is. He also claimed that despite four formal requests, Ye still hasn’t delivered any documentation backing up that Bianca is his official representative. And now, Benjamin’s asking the court to sanction Kanye, he wants him fined $2,610 for not handing over the documents and wants the court to order him to produce them immediately.
This whole mess started when Benjamin filed a lawsuit claiming he was hired to work security at Donda Academy in Los Angeles. Eventually, he says he started doing additional work for Kanye’s Sunday Service and one of his other businesses. But things took a dark turn. Benjamin claims he noticed Black employees were being treated differently than their white counterparts. The lawsuit states that he, and others, faced discriminatory treatment in relation to their non-Black coworkers.
It didn’t stop there. According to Benjamin, Ye and other staff even pressured him to cut off his dreadlocks, which he wears for religious reasons, as part of his Muslim faith. When he refused, he says he was fired. The case includes claims of racial discrimination, religious discrimination, and wrongful termination.
As of now, Kanye has finally been ordered to be deposed in the case after months of dragging things out. But he’s not the only one in the hot seat. Bianca Censori, the woman now legally acting on his behalf, will also be “grilled under oath,” according to the report.
Kanye’s lawyer, Eduardo Martorell, isn’t backing down either. He filed a statement saying the Designation of Agency document is “confidential in nature” and should not be used or shared outside the court case. His team emphasized that Kanye reserves all rights to seek more protective measures to stop misuse or improper disclosure.
All of this is happening while Ye and Bianca are rumored to be on the rocks. The couple, who made headlines for their unconventional style and surprise wedding, have reportedly been having issues for months. Their appearances together have been inconsistent lately, sparking speculation about a potential split.
