The Kar-Jenner sister, 29, looked stunning as she donned a custom Torishéju classic suit jacket. The androgynous attire was paired up with a more feminine twist, as she wore a necklace of sparkling diamonds to accompany the more masculine suit. Instead, fans were shocked at her overall attendance at the 2025 Met Gala, amid rumors that she was set to be banned from the event. This all came to light from a Radar Online report, which said Rihanna, (who is married to co-chair of this year’s event, A$AP Rocky,) was in the works to blacklist the reality star from attending the 2025 Met Gala.
Why Is There A Long-Standing Feud Between The Fenty Beauty Founder And The Kar-Jenner Sister?
The “Desperado” singer and the reality star have long standing beef according to celebrity insiders. It all sprung about after Kendall Jenner began hooking up with Rihanna’s ex, Chris Brown, who committed domestic violence against the singer in 2009. Rihanna reportedly felt like the Kardashian star was taking a “side,” which stung enough. But to add fuel to the fire, Kendall Jenner also had a romantic fling with Rihanna’s now-husband, A$AP Rocky.
As a result, the “Kiss It Better” songstress reportedly hasn’t been shy about her dislike of the reality star.
The inside source told Radar Online, “Rihanna has never been a fan of the Kardashians. When Kim was married to Kanye West, she tried to cozy up to Rihanna and got totally shut down.” The source continued, adding, “Rihanna did not appreciate Kendall’s friendship with Chris. Kendall chose a side, and it was the wrong one.”
And when the Jenner sister was romantically linked to Rihanna’s hubby back in 2017, it further solidified the “Yeah, I Said It” singer’s dislike of the catwalk model. “At the time, Rihanna and Rocky were technically just friends, but that didn’t stop her from feeling territorial over him,” the source said. “It just solidified her dislike for Kendall and now she’s going to use the Met Gala to get a bit of petty revenge.”
