Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann’s real-life drama just hit a whole new level.
The former Real Housewives of Atlanta star and her ex, former NFL player Kroy Biermann, were literally kicked out of their Georgia mansion by U.S. Marshals, three months after the house had already been sold. If that doesn’t scream rock bottom, what does?
The sprawling Alpharetta property, which had been at the center of their messy and very public divorce, officially sold for $2.8 million in January. But according to legal documents obtained by PEOPLE, Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann were ejected from the home on April 8 by order of the court. The writ of possession, filed April 9, commanded marshals to physically remove them and all their belongings to give “full and quiet possession” to the new owners.
From 3:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. on that Tuesday afternoon, it all went down. Kim and Kroy, both formerly living their best lives in a house equipped with a home theater, a gym with a private massage room, a 500-bottle walk-in wine cellar, and even a six-car garage, were booted from the mansion they once tried to sell for $6 million.
While being evicted is already chaotic enough, Kim was multitasking like only a reality star can, she was also selling off furniture on her Instagram Stories at the same time. First up for sale? Her daughter Ariana Biermann’s bedroom set, which she claimed cost $43,657 but was now listed for a sweet $10,000. “Ariana’s bedroom furniture is for sale, $10,000 hand painted perfect condition,” she wrote. It included everything from a canopy platform bed to cheetah-print chairs and custom wardrobes. Pick-up only, of course.
Let’s not forget, Kim and Kroy share four kids together, KJ (14), Kash (12), and 11-year-old twins Kaia and Kane. Kroy also legally adopted Kim’s daughters Ariana (23) and Brielle (28) back in 2013. That’s a whole household being displaced.
The eviction didn’t come out of nowhere. Their dream mansion had been flirting with foreclosure for over a year. The first red flag? A $1.65 million loan default in February 2023. The property even appeared on the Fulton County foreclosure list, with a notice stating it would go up for auction on December 3, 2024. At the time, the couple scrambled to fix the situation, and sources claimed they were “taking action to clear this up.” But clearly, that action didn’t stick.
Things only got worse after Kim and Kroy listed the home in October 2023 for $6 million. At that point, their marriage had already taken multiple hits. Kroy had filed for divorce again in August 2023, just months after their initial split in May 2023. After 12 years of marriage and a fairytale wedding in November 2011, it seems their dream life came crumbling down one auction notice at a time.
It’s a stark contrast to the luxe lifestyle they once flaunted. The mansion, listed on Zillow, boasted seven bedrooms, a game room with arcade and billiards, a home theater, a heated pool, and more. But no amount of square footage could save them from the reality check that came with financial collapse and divorce court.
Despite everything unraveling in public, Kim has kept relatively quiet, her rep had “no comment” on the eviction. Meanwhile, the Marshals got the job done, and the new homeowners finally took over what had become a heavily spotlighted piece of real estate drama.
This isn’t just a cautionary tale about foreclosure, it’s a whole reality show worth of mess packed into a legal document. From defaulted loans to Instagram furniture sales to literal eviction by law enforcement, the downfall of Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann’s domestic empire is as wild as anything Bravo could ever script.
