Lisa Of Blackpink Set To Star In New Solo Documentary

A new Lisa Blackpink documentary is in the works, and fans are already buzzing.

Sony Music Vision revealed the project during its first-ever content showcase in Los Angeles. The documentary will follow Lisa of Blackpink over the course of a year as she steps out on her own to pursue a solo career.

The film is directed by Sue Kim, known for her ability to capture the heart behind the fame. Kim says she wanted to show fans the off-stage Lisa, the “normal girl from Thailand” who just happens to be a global superstar. “She’s so down to earth,” Kim said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. “It’s quite shocking, and so real and so sincere. But even within that world of being one of the biggest stars, she’s still figuring out how to grow beyond it.”

Produced in collaboration with LLOUD CO, RCA Records, and Tremolo Productions, the documentary promises to give fans a deeper, more personal look at Lisa’s life and creative process. The production team includes Morgan Neville and Caitrin Rogers from Tremolo Productions, with Sue Kim and Courtney Crockett representing Salt Water Productions. Alice Kang and Joojong Joe will executive produce for LLOUD CO., while Peter Edge, John Fleckenstein, and Camille Yorrick are attached for RCA Records. Sony Music Vision is represented by Tom Mackay, Krista Wegener, and Abby Davis as executive producers.

Lisa has had a packed schedule during her break from Blackpink. She dropped her solo album Alter Ego, which showcased her growth as an artist and her ability to stand out beyond the group’s signature sound. She also lit up the Coachella stage with a fiery performance and made waves with her acting debut in the third season of HBO’s The White Lotus.

With Blackpink set to go back on tour this summer, the timing of this documentary couldn’t be more perfect. It captures a pivotal moment in Lisa’s life and career, highlighting her ambition, vulnerability, and vision as a solo artist.

This Lisa Blackpink documentary isn’t just for K-pop fans, it’s for anyone curious about the pressures and triumphs that come with fame. It’s a rare behind-the-scenes look at one of the most recognizable faces in global pop music as she redefines herself on her own terms.

Fans can expect never-before-seen footage, candid moments, and a fresh perspective on Lisa’s artistic journey. With so many big names behind the camera, this project is shaping up to be just as bold and authentic as Lisa herself.
