Brooklyn Beckham just made it crystal clear where his loyalty lies, and it’s with Nicola Peltz, not the Beckham family.
Amid whispers of ongoing tension between Brooklyn, Nicola, and the rest of the Beckhams, Brooklyn took to Instagram on Saturday, May 24, to post a video that pretty much says, “Nicola comes first.”
In the short clip, Brooklyn and Nicola are seen riding around on a red motorcycle, with her arms wrapped tightly around him as he leads the way. The whole moment is set to the dreamy, patriotic tones of Lana Del Rey’s “National Anthem.” But it was the caption that really got people talking. Brooklyn wrote, “My whole world x I will love you forever x I always choose you, baby x you’re the most amazing person I know xx me and you forever, baby❤️❤️.”

If there was any doubt about where things stand, that caption cleared it up. Brooklyn and Nicola, who got married in 2022 and just hit their third anniversary, are all-in on each other, and he’s not afraid to show it.
Meanwhile, Brooklyn’s younger brother Cruz Beckham seemed to offer a different vibe just hours later. On his own Instagram Stories, Cruz, 20, posted a full-on family throwback featuring himself, Brooklyn, Romeo (22), Harper (13), and their parents, David and Victoria Beckham. He wrote over the photo, “I love my family. I love you guys more than anything, Mum & Dad; you gave us life and cared for us no matter what. I cannot tell you how blessed we all are to have you in our lives.”
It’s hard not to see that as a subtle message, especially given the swirling rumors. A source recently told PEOPLE that there have been “tensions between Brooklyn and Nicola and the family,” and the cracks seem to be showing more and more.
Back in March, David Beckham threw an early 50th birthday celebration, and while the whole clan was invited, Brooklyn and Nicola didn’t show. A source confirmed to PEOPLE that it wasn’t clear why they skipped out, but they were definitely invited. And yes, their absence was noticed.
“The relationship is definitely not beyond repair,” an insider said earlier in May. “They love and are always there for [Brooklyn]. They’re just hurt and disappointed that he’s now playing no part in family life.”
Victoria Beckham also seemed to be making her own statement when she posted a photo of her four children, Brooklyn included, on May 19. In her caption, she wrote, “We both love you all so much,” referring to herself and David. Nicola was missing from the post, but the message was full of warmth regardless.
Nicola, for her part, hasn’t been totally silent. Just a few days after Victoria’s post, Nicola shared a cute picnic date night with Brooklyn on social media and called it the “best kind of night.” And if you’re wondering about the whole Victoria vs. Nicola narrative, Nicola already tried shutting that down more than a year ago. In a March 2023 interview with Cosmopolitan, she said, “I’ve said this so many times: There’s no feud. It’s really weird, actually, whether it’s my life or someone else’s life or whatever; when you know the truth and then you read something totally wrong.”
Still, the vibe is undeniable. Brooklyn and Nicola live in Los Angeles and seem totally wrapped up in their own bubble of love, far from the UK-based Beckham crew. While Cruz and Victoria are making efforts to show public unity, Brooklyn keeps doubling down on his wife.
In the end, the situation feels like a family caught in the middle of long-distance love, misunderstandings, and maybe just some generational differences. But Brooklyn isn’t hiding his choice, and right now, Nicola is clearly his number one.
