Travis Kelce is staying tight-lipped about his latest adventure, and fans are buzzing, especially after he and girlfriend Taylor Swift skipped the Met Gala 2025.
During the latest episode of his “New Heights” podcast, Kelce’s mom, Donna, couldn’t help but point out her son’s noticeably darker skin tone, asking if he’d been tanning. But the Kansas City Chiefs tight end brushed it off with a laugh, claiming he’d just been in his “cubicle.” Not buying it, his brother Jason teased him about a possible trip to Haiti, referencing Donna’s own cruise plans that got rerouted due to unrest there.
While Travis didn’t confirm or deny any specific destination, he vaguely replied, “I’m everywhere, mommy,” dodging further details. Donna tried nudging more out of him, saying it looked like he had fun, but Travis quickly pivoted the conversation to something else.
This all comes just days after the couple skipped what would’ve been their highly anticipated Met Gala debut. Despite receiving invites to this year’s “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” theme, both opted out, reportedly due to work commitments. Swift, a Met Gala veteran, hasn’t attended the star-studded event since 2016, long before her relationship with the NFL star began.
The two have been laying low since Travis’ Super Bowl run ended in February and Taylor wrapped up her massive Eras Tour. They reportedly vacationed overseas in February but managed to dodge the paparazzi. In March, they were briefly spotted leaving a dinner in Park City, Utah, but have largely stayed out of the spotlight.
Travis did take a recent guys’ trip to Vegas without Taylor and talked about it on last week’s podcast episode. Despite the solo getaway, sources close to the couple say the two are still “so in love.”
Meanwhile, Donna Kelce also got personal on the podcast, talking about Travis’ past relationships. She mentioned meeting a couple of his exes but said she was kept in the dark about who he dated during college. Travis responded with his usual mix of charm and vagueness, hinting that he likes to keep his moves quiet.
He even teased he might join Donna on her upcoming vacation to Mexico, saying he loves to “pop up on people” without warning. It looks like even his mom isn’t always in the loop when it comes to where Travis is headed next, or who he’s bringing with him.
So while Travis Kelce might be glowing from a mystery getaway, he’s not spilling the tea anytime soon, especially when it comes to skipping the Met Gala with Taylor Swift.
