Things got tense real quick when White Lotus star Walton Goggins was asked about his rumored feud with costar Aimee Lou Wood.
During a recent interview with The London Times, what started as a promo for his new film The Uninvited took a sharp turn when the reporter brought up the fact that Goggins no longer follows Wood on Instagram. That’s when the actor immediately shut it down with a firm, “I’m not going to have that conversation.”
Before it could go any further, his American publicist jumped in with a clear, “We’re not going there,” and his UK rep quickly backed them up. The journalist tried shifting the topic back to the film, but things circled around again when Wood’s name popped up. This time, Goggins called out the reporter for trying to poke at internet-fueled drama instead of focusing on the project he was there to discuss.
Now, while Goggins didn’t confirm or deny anything, the rumor mill has been spinning for a while. Fans have been convinced something went down on the White Lotus set. Theories range from quiet tension to full-on fallouts. But White Lotus costar Jason Isaacs recently tried to calm things down during an appearance on SiriusXM, explaining that the shoot wasn’t a vacation, it was intense, emotional, and filled with normal group dynamics like cliques, crushes, and, yes, arguments.
Isaacs made it clear people are reading way too much into social media breadcrumbs. “You think you’ve cracked it because of a post or a missing photo, but you’re way off,” he said. He even joked about how much online speculation he’s seen from “amateur Sherlock Holmes” types.
Interestingly, despite the buzz, both Goggins and Wood have spoken highly of each other publicly. So, whether this is just media reaching for drama or there’s actual tension behind the scenes remains a mystery. Either way, one thing is obvious, Goggins is done talking about it.
