Jennifer Lopez is stepping into summer 2025 with nothing but fire energy and total freedom.
At 55, the global superstar isn’t slowing down, she’s powering up. Between headlining WorldPride during Pride Month in Washington, D.C., working on a new tour, hosting the American Music Awards, and spending quality time with her kids, this summer is shaping up to be one big Jennifer Lopez summer celebration. And she’s loving every minute of it.
In a new interview with People, J.Lo made it clear she’s feeling amazing right now, and it shows. “I’m excited to tour. I’m excited to go do Pride first. I’m super excited about that,” she said, practically buzzing. “I’m working on that show right now too, as we speak, and crafting the tour as well. I’m excited to get back out there.” For her, performing isn’t just about putting on a show, it’s about giving people a moment to let loose. “I’m ready to get out there and make people sing and dance and have a good time. That’s always my goal.”
But her goals this summer are also personal. Jennifer described this season as “the perfect summer to celebrate being free and being happy.” She added, “Just everything in my life right now just feels really healthy and good.” Whether it’s her career, her family, or just where she’s at mentally, she’s embracing it all. It’s the kind of energy that feels contagious, and honestly, we’re here for it.
And she’s not celebrating alone. Her 17-year-old twins, Emme and Max, are expected to join her at WorldPride. “I think my kids are going to come to Pride because I’m doing more of a concert [at WorldPride], so I’m excited about that,” she said. “They’re sweet. They’re the best.” Even in the middle of her nonstop career, Jennifer makes it a point to include her family in the journey.
Speaking of her career, Lopez recently opened up about how proud she is of everything she’s built. With the American Music Awards coming up, where she’ll be hosting, she’s been reflecting on her past performances and how far she’s come. “Everything feels like I just did it,” she said. “I remember the moments. I remember getting dressed for them. I remember things people said when we were walking to the stage afterwards.”
She even sat down to watch some of her old performances recently, and it hit her just how much she’s grown. “I don’t know that I get emotional, but I definitely get like, ‘Wow.’ Happy. I’ve been doing this, and I’m proud of that.” After decades in the industry, she still finds joy in the work and in seeing her evolution.
Hosting the AMAs is more than just a gig for her, it’s a milestone. “We were just looking at it to see the progression of the stuff that we’ve done,” she said, talking about reviewing her past performances. “I don’t know; it’s just a very important part of my musical career and life.”
So, yeah, Jennifer Lopez’s summer celebration isn’t just about glitter and concerts. It’s about joy, growth, gratitude, and living out loud. She’s mixing major performances with real personal moments, and that balance is what makes her summer so powerful. From WorldPride to touring, from AMAs to time with her kids, she’s doing it all, and doing it her way.
