The Leslie Bibb-Sam Rockwell relationship has lasted for 18 years, and the Palm Royale star has no plans to change that.
Bibb and Oscar winner Sam Rockwell have been together since 2007, and despite nearly two decades together, they never felt they needed to get married. “Maybe it’s probably something about the way we grew up,” Bibb recently told an interviewer when asked about tying the knot. “But if it isn’t broken, don’t fix it,” she explained.
Bibb also reflected on their decision to not have children together. “I just don’t have that chip in me,” she admitted. Rockwell is equally fine with that choice, with Bibb saying that her partner “never really wanted kids.” Instead of traditional milestones like a wedding or children, they focus on their bond and the life they’ve built together, a life that even includes working together on screen.
That was especially clear when they co-starred in season three of HBO’s hit The White Lotus, a career highlight for both. “We’ve been together for 18 years, it’s a long time,” Bibb shared. “And I do think it gets better. The intimacy of a relationship is very sexy to me.” Bibb even laughed about their evolving romance, noting, “You can have all the hot sex in the beginning, but you gotta reinvent it.”
Bibb also made it clear that they already feel like they’re married. “I feel like we are,” she told the interviewer. “That label doesn’t matter to us.” Rockwell agrees. Back in 2022, the Sam Rockwell and Leslie Bibb couple spoke with The Standard, and Rockwell explained, “We’re basically married. She’s in my will. I feel like we are married. We live like a married couple.” That honesty and commitment have kept their romance thriving without the need for any formal ceremony.
The pair originally met in Los Angeles in 2007 at the legendary Chateau Marmont hotel, and they’ve been inseparable ever since. Throughout their relationship, Bibb and Rockwell have supported each other’s careers and interests, even co-starring together across several projects. The White Lotus is just one example of their long history of creative teamwork and mutual admiration.
Bibb acknowledged that their relationship is an unconventional one in Hollywood terms, but it works perfectly for them. “That traditional path, married by 30 with kids, was never what we wanted,” she explained in one interview. “That’s someone else’s dream, not ours.”
And they have no regrets about making their own rules. Whether they’re working together on set, traveling the world, or relaxing at home, they know they’ve built something strong. “You have to want to grow together,” Bibb said. “That’s what we’ve done for 18 years.”
And after all that time, their commitment is obvious, even without rings. Leslie Bibb and Sam Rockwell continue to show that love can thrive outside tradition and that every couple can write its own story.
