Alex Preston is ready to give us a fresh, new taste of what’s to come throughout 2018 kicking off with a Marvin Gaye rework of Heard It Through The Grapevine. Out now and available to download for free on SoundCloud!

Shut away in the studio for months, Alex has been creating an exciting new style of underground house. With underpinnings of tech and disco house, it features live guitar & bass with sampled percussion:

“I wanted to make a new style of house music that I could play live for people. I want it to have balance between live, sometimes improvised guitar, bass & percussion; and pumping dance-floor house.”

The rework features tech house undertones and a grooving bass that trundles along before flowing into an upbeat, riff house lead. Accompanied by the iconic vocals of Marvin Gaye, Heard It Through The Grapevine is transformed into a wondrous ensemble of melodies with live guitar elements adding an extra touch of excellence.

Alex Preston is no stranger to producing a quality house track, with his most recent release of 2017 – Feel It receiving nods of approval from the likes of Mike Mago, Oliver Heldens and Sam Feldt. Now for 2018, Alex delves into the realm of live instrumentals, adding the element of live guitar to complement his productions. Sure to turn heads in the right direction, he kicks off his new style with Heard It Through The Grapevine.

To celebrate the release, Heard It Through The Grapevine is available to download for free from Alex’s Soundcloud page. Treat yourself and get downloading now!
