Billain’s third single: ‘Interceptor’ from his sophomore LP: Lands Unbreached realizes a coalescence of several threads Billain has been pulling at & interweaving for years.

Empowered by his signature high tech and sci-fi-leaning sound design, a love for the massive bass-bin rattling, sound-system annihilators, and a flair for the cinematic; we once again see Billain execute his vision at the highest possible level.

The intro sets the stage with massive swelling pads, large cinematic drums, and high fidelity basslines ripping through the air as tension builds. Focusing on itself like a laser cannon, charging into a single point of pure energy— a brief pause at the drop gives way to a massive groove that needs to be experienced on a festival sound system to be fully realized.

Large is an understatement. Billain’s sense of scale and his vision for drum and bass excellence is once again highlighted by this colossal undertaking of technical engineering and devotion to drum and bass excellence.

Since his initial releases during the early 2010s, Billain has cultivated a dominant spot in the underground drum and bass community, performing at some of the biggest stages, racking up impressive numbers across DSPs, selling out physical format releases, and garnering praise from many of his contemporaries. Billain’s professional background as a sound designer on films like Pacific Rim and Hunter Killer shines through in the music, shaping the scope of his dynamic instrumentalism with a fascinating sense of otherworldly storytelling and musical range few in his genre possess.

Releasing across all DSPs March 25, with next wave full album Land’s Unbreached slated for release April 8. ‘Interceptor’ is sure to leave its mark across club and festival sound systems worldwide.
