Brooklyn producer and multi-instrumentalist Birocratic, real name Brandon Rowan, has created an enviable resume over the past few years thanks to a slew of original productions and remixes.

To date, the 24-year-old artist boasts credits including releases on Chillhop Records and Atlantic’s Big Beat, features in videos for Buzzfeed and YouTube star Casey Neistat, official remixes for GRiZ, and opening support for acclaimed artists like MNDSGN and Grammy-nominee StarRo.

To kick off 2018, Birocratic is today releasing a brand new single titled – Extra Fresh. Playing homage to 90’s house and 80’s funk, “Extra Fresh” solidifies the producer’s affinity for flipping samples on their head—splicing them with synth melodies familiar to house music and robust basslines trademark to instrumental hip-hop. For those familiar with Birocratic’s critically acclaimed beat-tape releases, Beets and Leftovers, “Extra Fresh” proves an ample addition to the producer’s quickly evolving discography. In addition, the single is getting a tongue-in-cheek informercial-meets music-video visual competent via the tracks official promo video.

The young producer first came to fame during his days at NYU’s Clive Davis Institute, where his dorm room beat-tapes organically achieved tens of millions of streams thanks to their inclusion in viral YouTube videos. Having established himself as a key member in the global beat-scene, Birocratic has also successfully remained an independent artist, self-releasing all his music to date. The final component to the Birocratic picture is his revered live show complete with bass guitar, keyboards, finger-drumming, and more, that allows him to bring his experimental jazz, hip hop, and house records to life in real-time.
