Swedish electronic act CAZZETTE release their latest single – Missing You; which acts as the second single off the forthcoming Stereo Mono EP, set for release in the coming months via PRMD Music.
Premiered yesterday (June 21) on Insomniac.com, Sam Yu says of the track: “[CAZZETTE and Parson James] make a good team. James is vulnerable yet confident about his romantic attachments, as he wears his heart on his sleeve during his love-stricken crooning. Björklund carries his voice delicately across an infectious groove, consisting of tender chord stabs, mild-tempered basslines, and a shuffling rhythm that will make you want to call up your current crush and confess your soul.”
CAZZETTE says of the “Missing You” collaboration: “I’m very happy about my collaboration with Parson James. Parsons soulful vocals immediately took me back to an old-school house sound that I’ve been missing. The song came together very naturally after hitting the first note on the driving bassline dominating through the song. ‘Missing You’ is a homage to that old-school house/dance sound that I grew up on but with a modern twist.”
Parson James adds: “As a major fan of Cazzette for as long as I can remember, I am thrilled to be able to collaborate with them on a song I love so much.”
First garnering attention with the anthemic “Beam Me Up”, which became possibly one of the most popular festival bangers of the early 2010’s era of EDM. CAZZETTE followed up shortly thereafter up with “Sleepless” which has since attracted more than 90 million Spotify streams. Through various releases since, CAZZETTE touches upon a slightly different genre with each new EP; solidifying themselves as perhaps one of the most talented, diverse and underrated acts in the electronic music scene.
Returning with a new face and musical direction in 2018, the release of “Missing You” featuring Parson James, follows recent comeback single “Run Run”.
