LA-based producer Michael Christofi, aka Christofi, has been steadily building his name in the dance music scene over the past 3 years.

As a big fan of R&B, hip-hop, and indie pop, Christofi gathers his musical inspiration from beyond the dance floor and the electronic genre. His singles and remixes have garnered him millions of streams, with remixes for R&B leaning artists like Opiaand RKCB and original music with up-and-coming vocalists such as Malia Civetz. From covering main stages at EDC Las Vegas and Beyond Wonderland, Christofi is set to head into summer with new music to be played and performed across the festival circuit and music venues from coast to coast.

He just unveiled a new remix of the cult classic dance tune “Teenage Crime” by Adrian Lux. The track was first discovered by tastemakers Proximity Records and shorty after support from the label heads over at Axtone who gave their immediate support and made the remix official just 2 days later. With 100,000 + streams so far, you can expect the track to be played at EDC Vegas this weekend and support from Axtone artists as they hit the road this season.

When speaking on the collaboration Christofi shares, “I was put in touch with an A&R at Axtone Records through Reverb Nation, who discovered and posted one of my remixes. Axtone, who was impressed by my music, asked if I wanted to remix one of their classic tracks, ‘Adrian Lux – Teenage Crime’. He let me know that this would be not “official” on DSP’s, although it was not ideal, It was an immediate yes from me and I started working on it. I heard ‘Teenage Crime’ the first time I went to a rave (EDC 2010) and it always brings a happy nostalgic feeling when I hear that vocal. I want to be able to bring that nostalgic feeling back while adding my own touch and energy. I never thought this would be premiered by Proximity let alone be considered to be an official stand-alone remix”

It’s been a long time coming and dance favorite “Teenage Crime” is back! You can find it available across all DSP’s now.
