David Guetta has unveiled a stunning new acoustic version of his latest global smash hit single ‘Baby Don’t Hurt Me’ out 14th July, featuring fellow global superstars Anne-Marie and Coi Leray.

Stripping the song down to its emotional core and embellishing the instrumental with orchestral flourishes, ‘Baby Don’t Hurt Me (Acoustic)’ is sure to send hearts soaring. As always, David Guetta’s masterful songcraft and flawless production spotlight the incredible vocal talents of his collaborators, Anne-Marie and Coi Leray.

The new version follows ‘Baby Don’t Hurt Me’’s biggest week since its release, surpassing 240 million global streams and with over 25 million UK streams to date, achieving Gold in Netherlands, Italy, Switzerland and Austria, and holds #1 position across European airplay for the 3rd week, proving the smash hit’s enduring star power.

With the original still sitting across Top 20 Spotify peaks across 12 markets, David Guetta adds another reinterpretation to the ‘Baby Don’t Hurt Me’ collection, after recent reworks by Sofi Tukker, Robin Schulz, Ozone &Diagnostix, Joel Corry and Cedric Gervais, as well as earlier versions by Hypaton, Borai & Denham, and DJs from Mars, which featured in Guetta’s Remixes EP.

The original single, a euphoric gem which combines Guetta’s mastermind production with a sample from Haddaway’s 90s hit ‘What Is Love’, has become a worldwide hit, sitting at #19 in the UK chart, with over 240 million global streams and 25 million UK streams to date, as well as having peaks of #12 in Global Shazam and #3 on UK iTunes, and hitting the Spotify Top 20 across 10 markets. On radio, the track has reached playlists on Capital, Kiss (+Kiss Dance), Hits Radio, Radio 1’s C-List and was chosen as Radio 1’s Track Of The Week.

‘Baby Don’t Hurt Me’ features vocals from British pop icon Anne-Marie, who continues to take the world by storm with 7.5 billion global streams to date, seven Top 10 singles and multiple double- and triple-platinum selling records, and Coi Leray, the LA-based rapper known for her raw rhymes, traffic-stopping vocals and inimitable energy. Leray is best known for her recent smash single ‘Players’, which has 200 million streams, reached #1 at Rhythmic radio in the US, and received a remix by David Guetta, which the two performed together in his Ultra Miami earlier this year.

Fast approaching 40 billion global streams in addition to this year’s ‘Producer of the Year’ win at the BRITs and DJ Mag’s #1 DJ for the third year running, David Guetta has skyrocketed to #9 most streamed artist on Spotify globally, selling over 50 million records worldwide. In his career he has reached top position across I-Tunes charts over 113 countries and achieved over 24 million Spotify followers worldwide. His previous single ‘I’m Good (Blue)’ has just hit 1 billion streams on Spotify, as well as #1 on the UK Singles chart, #2 on Global Spotify, #1 on Spotify UK, #1 on Apple UK, #1 on Amazon Music UK, #2 on UK Shazam, #3 on Global Shazam, and #1 in 15 territories including Australia, Denmark, Switzerland, Norway and Finland.

Earlier this year, the international icon won the ‘Dance Song of The Year’ award for his latest smash ‘I’m Good’ at the IHeartRadio Music Awards, where he was also previously named ‘Dance Act of the Year’. He also recently received awards for ‘DJ of the Year’ at the NRJ Music Awards, Producer of the Year at the Brits and #1 Producerby 1001Tracklists, continuing to cement his status at the very top of the DJ pile.
