Making an impressive return to Don Diablo’s Hexagon label, Russian duo Dropgun presents ‘Nothing New’, a fully funk dance tune featuring one of the most well-known vocal lines, it’s a crowdpleasing tune already supported by many DJs out there.

Hailing from the bitter cold of Siberia, DJ/producer duo Dropgun have put themselves on the map as one of the most anticipated brands these last year. With multiple tracks released and support from industry heavyweights like Tiësto, Nicky Romero, DVBBS, DJ BL3ND and W&W to name a few, Dropgun have outgrown their cold homeland with their passion and persistence for success.

The Russian act made its first major impact in 2014 with the DVVBS collab ‘Pyramids’, immediately released on Spinnin’ Records and picked up worldwide. What followed was a string of club favorites, including singles ‘Amsterdam’ (Oxygen), a collab with Tony Junior, the hit release ‘Cobra’ and the popular HEXAGON releases ‘Fever’ and ‘Nobody’.

Earlier this year the guys dropped their much acclaimed collab with Breathe Carolina and Kaleena Zanders, the much supported tune ‘Rhythm Is A Dancer’, released on Spinnin’ Records.

And now, the guys are back! Again teaming up with Kaleena Zanders, who features on the exciting piece of house music ‘Nothing New’. It’s a fitting return to HEXAGON, as the track delivers sweet guitar chords and strong pop styled vocals, all worked up in a rollercoaster ride of a dance tune. It’s a true combination of Kaleena’s voice and the duo’s ever evolving production sound.

“Working with Dropgun is amazing, after collaborating with them on a cover, it was time to do an original. These guys are truly talented.” – Kaleena Zanders

“When we started working on ‘Nobody Else’ we just knew that we had to include the right piano arrangement to complement Kaleena’s beautiful voice. We also wanted to make sure that the track would be fitting for Don Diablo’s label as we wanted to release the record on HEXAGON. We went for a gritty bassline with a recognizable melody in the drop so people can go crazy and feel euphoric at the same time. We are very happy with the end result and the support Don always gives us.” – Dropgun
