Arguably one of the most respected producers within the Drum & Bass genre, Grafix is finally releasing his long-awaited second solo album, entitled Don’t Slow Down, a milestone in his career.
Coming after a seven-month campaign of singles, teasers, and live appearances, this project is a bold and emotionally charged statement that weaves refined production with heartfelt songwriting and undeniable dancefloor energy.
After the huge success of his 2022 debut album Half Life-which racked up more than 36 million streams and sold out both vinyl and merch runs-Grafix has taken things to a whole new level with Don’t Slow Down. The record reflects not just his growth as an artist but also his growing influence in shaping the next generation of Drum & Bass.
The rollout for the album was a perfect exercise in consistency and momentum. Starting with the high-octane return of We’re On Fire featuring Madishu, which racked up more than 3 million streams and earned the cover spot on Spotify’s Massive Drum & Bass playlist, the track also picked up radio traction with a major feature on BBC Radio 1’s New Music Show with Jack Saunders.
This was succeeded by the release of Vital Signs featuring Nu-La: an euphoric, melody-rich anthem that captured both long-time fans and new listeners. The single scored its First Play debut on BBC Radio 1 and has gone past 1.5 million streams.
Next up was the soaring title track ‘Don’t Slow Down’, which proved one of the campaign’s biggest moments – indeed, the single was named Jack Saunders’ Hottest Record on BBC Radio 1, reached #17 in the Shazam UK Dance Chart and #5 in Beatport’s Drum & Bass Top 100.
Next up was Let Me Down featuring ROVA, which received heavy radio play, including over ten plays on BBC Radio 1. The track hit number one in Beatport’s Drum & Bass Top 100 and peaked as Charlie Tee’s Drop of the Week. It also got support from George FM and Charlie Hedges’ Track2Track segment.
Besides, the emotional fulcrum of the album is Memories (Us Together) with Raphaella, imbuing the project with cinematic flair. With lush vocals and deep textures that have resonated hard with fans, DJs such as Jack Saunders and Charlie Tee gave significant airtime across BBC Radio 1 and Capital Dance playlists.
Today sees the album release and focus track Drift Away featuring WHAT EVA, which premiered on George FM’s Breakfast Show, where Grafix also appeared for an exclusive interview. Already the track has picked up major editorial support from Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon and YouTube, as well as features from tastemaker platforms UKF and Liquicity.
Grafix celebrates the album’s release with an immersive audio-visual album launch show headline at London’s No. 90 on October 17th. Stunning visuals meld with his new music for a full-scale experience that will see several surprise guests join him live.
Following the album release, Grafix will embark on a world tour, playing headline shows around the UK, Europe, the US, and Australia, including appearances at Creamfields, Liquicity, Hospitality on the Beach, and The Warehouse Project. This is Don’t Slow Down: a culmination of everything that makes Grafix one of the most innovative forces in Drum & Bass, marrying emotion and precision with relentless rhythm to further his position as one of the leading lights in global electronic music. The album is out now on all major streaming platforms.
