Kaskade and Lipless are back with their latest collaboration, ‘State Of Mind,’ featuring the ethereal vocals of Poppy Baskcomb.
Set for release this Friday via Colorize, a sub-label of Enhanced Music, this track blends lush synth textures, euphoric basslines, and cinematic atmospheres, making it a standout in 2025’s deep and progressive house scene.
This track marks another milestone in the long-standing creative relationship between Kaskade and Lipless. What started as a mentorship over a decade ago has evolved into a powerhouse partnership, resulting in a string of unforgettable tracks. From their Grammy-nominated remix of Ry X’s ‘Only’ to Lipless’s contributions to Kx5’s ‘Alive,’ ‘Take Me High,’ and ‘Avalanche,’ their synergy continues to push boundaries.
Lipless, who first caught Kaskade’s attention as a teenage producer sending demos via MySpace, has since grown into a force in his own right. Now with over 50 million streams and performances at iconic venues like Brooklyn Mirage and Academy LA, he has established himself as a key player in the house music scene.
Kaskade, an eight-time Grammy nominee, remains one of the biggest names in electronic music. From groundbreaking collaborations with Deadmau5 (Kx5), Tiësto, and Skrillex to being the first-ever in-game DJ at the Super Bowl in 2024, his influence is unmatched.
‘State Of Mind’ also features the mesmerizing vocals of Poppy Baskcomb, a London-based singer-songwriter known for collaborations with Tiësto, Meduza, Sub Focus, and Anyma. This is her second project with Kaskade, following their hit ‘Heaven Knows’ last November. Her emotive vocals add an extra layer of depth to the track, complementing the song’s uplifting nature.
According to Lipless, the song came together in a serendipitous way. When he first heard the vocal demo, the lyrics deeply resonated with him, reflecting his own personal journey toward a better state of mind. Sharing it with Kaskade, they both felt an instant connection and knew they had to collaborate on it.
‘State Of Mind’ has already received early support from electronic heavyweights like Above & Beyond, Chicane, Cosmic Gate, Paul van Dyk, and Oliver Heldens, signaling that it’s set to become a massive festival anthem.
