Following his ethereal spring EP, ‘Lone,’ UK-born producer LAR returned to Monstercat today with his transcendental new package, ‘Gaze.’
Spanning two sublime tracks with complementary extended mixes, LAR has become an expert at crafting poignant melodic house records that evoke carefree feelings in their sweeping soundscapes. Backed by tech-driven elements with an attention to detail, he continues to mature his artistic palette by building worlds around his releases.
LAR shares, “One thing I was pushing for in these records was to create free-flowing leads, as opposed to having something repetitive and stable, almost as though these elements are telling an unvocalized story. I also really wanted to capture an ascending journey throughout, so I made a conscious effort to continuously evolve every element right until the end. I hope people enjoy ‘Gaze’ half as much as I enjoyed making it.”
