French multifaceted producer Maazel returned to Monstercat today, accompanied by Canada’s burgeoning bass producer Sam Lamar for their new future bass single, “The Truth.”
Both artists’ unique stylings are on full display as the heavy bass and thumping drums mix perfectly with the pop-inspired vocals, bright arpeggiators, and warm chord stabs. “The Truth” is a testament to Maazel’s mastery of his craft and ability to find synergies between genres, a constant thread woven throughout his stunning singles and EPs he’s brought to Monstercat since last year.
Maazel shares, “‘The Truth’ is my first collaboration with Canadian producer Sam Lamar. We’ve been sending songs back and forth for a long time so us working together was just a matter of time! I’ve always liked heavier music and always wanted to try making one of my own. I think both our soundscapes really compliment each other on this track!”
Sam Lamar adds, “I’ve always been exploring different facets of my sound design and always been interested in bringing my touch to all the genres. Working with Maazel was a perfect opportunity for doing so. I think that the synergy of both our styles really meshes well together and brings the best out of each other!”
