UMEK and his label 1605 present a new release by long-standing Italian producer MOTVS who present two of his enthralling tracks on an EP titled, ‘DNA’.

For around two decades, MOTVS has released music under a variety of different names and has a passion for harder styles. Both of the tracks on this release have fast-paced rhythms and pounding drums that are mixed with mammoth synth sounds.

It’s very hard to pick a favourite as both tracks are well suited to the 1605 sound that has become a driving force within the techno scene. The label shares the same sound as its owner, and UMEK has consistently used 1605 as a platform to dominate the sales charts of sites like Beatport.

Other artists on 1605 have also proven to be top sellers within the techno genre, and MOTVS has already had success with top selling music on his own label Exetra Records, which has created hype around MOTVS’ 1605 debut.

The EP’s title track “DNA” gets things moving after an explosive intro that combines a dystopian vocal sample with pounding percussion and an onslaught of synths that burst out the speaker. It’s got a menacing vibe and uplifting energy that is truly awe-inspiring.

“Automa” is the second track, and it’s got science fiction vocals that continue the dystopian theme that runs throughout this EP. It’s a roller-coaster ride of a track that hits hard in its percussion sections, then builds spine-tingling tension in the looming intensity of its breakdown.
