NERVO come together with Tube & Berger to drop a huge new sound with their festival house single titled “Lights Down Low.”
The twin sister DJ duo along with Tube & Berger return to Tiësto’s Musical Freedom on July 9th, as the vocal club-ready tune follows up on their recent 2021 releases such as ‘Basement’ as well as “Gotta Be You” featuring Carla Monroe.
Having produced for the likes of Miley Cyrus, Kylie Minogue, Ke$ha, and The Pussycat Dolls, as well as having received a Grammy Award for co-writing David Guetta and Kelly Rowland’s single “When Love Takes Over,” it’s safe to say that NERVO are one of the biggest acts in dance music and have continued to release during the recent pandemic.
Arndt Roerig and Marko Vidovic – known as Tube & Berger – started their musical journey over a decade ago. Since then, the house producers and in-demand remixers, have put out two acclaimed studio albums, released on an array of prestigious labels, played constant gigs around the world and now have over 100 million Spotify Streams and counting to their name. ‘’Lights Down Low’’ follows on from their previous release on Tiësto’s AFTR:HRS label last year with ‘’All I Want ft Goatchy’’.
Discussing the release of ‘‘Lights Down Low’’, NERVO say: ‘’Lights Down Low’ started at Pete Tongs ‘All Gone Pool Party’ in Miami about 6 years ago. We met Arndt & Marko backstage and it was clear we all shared a love for the more underground sound. Then followed a few more backstage encounters in Ibiza, Germany and so forth. After becoming friends we spoke about doing a collaboration together and started throwing ideas back and forth and voila… ‘Lights Down Low’ was born. Truth be told, different incomplete versions of the record stayed on everyone’s hard drive’s for about 5 years because we found it hard to sit down and finish but then 2019/20 Covid happened so it was perfect timing to finish this record. The record was originally a more minimal sounding deep house record and was part of the reason why it took so long to complete – because NERVO & T&B couldn’t get on the same page sonically however now we have revamped it into what it is today. We love this collaboration and hope you do too.’’
