Texas-based producer Perry Wayne is back on NGHTMRE and SLANDER’s Gud Vibrations imprint with his destructive new single “Code.”
The rising star is at home on the label following two narrative EPs and an exceptional string of singles taking the shape of “Wild” and “Freestyle.”
“Code” welcomes listeners straight back into the Wayne Enterprise universe once again with his signature mix of cinematic sci-fi and ravenous bass. An otherworldly introduction intertwines eerie melodies with pulsating basslines for an unsettling yet enthralling soundscape. The robotic voice paints the picture, while revoking access before unleashing its full wrath in the form of metallic riddim grinds, boisterous low-end oscillations, and smacking drums. Brilliant sound design meets brute force for a merciless mechanical onslaught. The deathly waves of destruction relent only to further build the intensity and unload in an increasingly more devastating fashion. Hackers looking to crack into Wayne Enterprise are destined for annihilation.
“‘Code’ came from a creative block I had over a year ago,” explains Perry Wayne. “And I wanted to push the boundaries of what I was capable of!”
The Dallas-based artist has been taking over the dubstep realm with his immersive world-building and devastating drops. He’s released a steady stream of exceptional music with Gud Vibrations, including his most recent single “Wild” which landed support from Dubstep Unk, This Song Slaps, EKM, Canadian Ravers, The Music Essentials, and Heard It Here First. He’s hot off a massive performance at Lost Lands and will be continuing his run of North American tour dates, joining Crankdat on a stop of his tour, and will be accompanying Adventure Club on tour for a few selects stops in the coming months, in addition to swinging into Mission Ballroom in Denver alongside Bear Grillz.
