RM and V Reunite With BTS After Military Exit

BTS’ RM and V have officially wrapped up their mandatory military service and are back-with a strong hint at the group’s full return soon.

The two members, who enlisted on December 11, 2023, completed their service on June 10, 2025.

As expected, fans (ARMY) were ready to greet them near the military base. Both stars saluted the crowd, offering sincere gratitude and excitement about what’s next. V addressed the media and fans directly, saying, “To all the ARMYs who have waited for us in the military, I want to say I am truly, truly grateful. Please wait just a little longer and we will return with a really cool performance.”

With Jin and j-hope already discharged, only Jimin, Jungkook, and Suga remain, but they’re expected to finish service later this month. This puts all seven BTS members on track to reunite, possibly as early as the second half of 2025.

Earlier this year, j-hope dropped a few major hints during an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1. “We will quickly get together and talk about what BTS can do in the future. I think it’s going to be a massive energy,” he shared. “I look forward to June when our members will have completed their service.”

Even though BTS have been on a two-year hiatus, the group members haven’t been idle. All seven released solo music projects during their time apart. According to j-hope, this period helped each member grow individually. “Over time, we each refined our unique identities… The funny thing for me is when our identities, which have taken shape in various ways, come together as BTS. I’m curious to see how [the reunion] will look like.”

J-hope also reflected on his military service with pride. “I think it’s only natural for young people in South Korea to take on this responsibility. I thought it was a very important part of J-Hope’s, or Jung Ho Seok’s, life,” he said. He added that the experience taught him about life outside the music world. “I got to meet people from all walks of life and I received a lot of good energy… A year and a half is actually not a very short time. That bit made me feel a lot of things.”

With excitement building, BTS fans worldwide are now watching closely for any official comeback announcement. One thing’s clear-the band’s return is not just near, it’s going to be big. As RM, V, and j-hope have all hinted, BTS is ready to bring something powerful to the stage once again.
