Mötley Crüe just dropped a surprise collaboration that no one saw coming, Dolly Parton is now part of the Crüe legacy.
The rock legends have released a 40th anniversary version of their classic power ballad “Home Sweet Home,” now featuring vocals from the country icon herself.
Originally released in 1985 on their Theatre of Pain album, and later included in 1991’s Decade of Decadence 81–91, the track has become one of the band’s most beloved anthems. Now, with Dolly lending her unmistakable voice to the mix, “Home Sweet Home” is reaching a whole new generation, and crossing genres in the process.
Mötley Crüe, Vince Neil, Tommy Lee, Nikki Sixx, and John 5, called the collaboration a “career high.” In a statement, they said, “For an icon like Dolly Parton to sing on a song that has meant so much to us and our fans is incredibly special. We couldn’t be happier to mark the 40th anniversary this way.”
But it’s not just about music. A portion of the proceeds from the new single will go to Covenant House, a nonprofit supporting homeless youth with shelter, meals, and care. The band emphasized how meaningful this cause is to them, saying, “Uniting with Dolly to raise awareness for homeless youth makes this release even more important.”
Dolly also shared her excitement about the project: “It was an honour and a joy working in the studio on this version of ‘Home Sweet Home.’ I was thrilled they asked me to be part of it.”
The updated track is featured on From The Beginning, a massive career-spanning singles collection dropping on September 12, 2025, the same day Mötley Crüe kicks off a 10-night residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM in Las Vegas.
The new version of “Home Sweet Home” featuring Dolly Parton is streaming now on all major platforms. Fans can also catch the official music video premiering today at 5pm BST.
From The Beginning will be available in both standard audio and immersive Dolby Atmos formats. Physical versions include a CD and a 2LP vinyl edition, with bonus tracks exclusive to the vinyl.
