Back in July, Zeds Dead unveiled ‘Alive’, the first single from their forthcoming album. The emotive house anthem, made in collaboration with MKLA, hints at a new direction for Zeds Dead’s constantly evolving sound and a taste of what to expect from their new LP.
Today Zeds Dead have unveiled a visual for ‘Alive’, which shows MKLA caught up in a virtual reality matrix. The kaleidoscopic video captures MKLA yearning for physical connection in a digital space, a feeling that’s become all too familiar for many in recent times.
Zeds Dead have today also announced an impending remix package of ‘Alive’, which includes rework cuts from the likes of One True God, 12th Planet, Dirt Monkey, Tisoki, Wenzday, Bensley and Suray Sertin. The Alive Remix EP will be out in full on October 29th on Deadbeats.
Zeds Dead have had an eventful second half to 2021, embracing a return to the touring circuit after a prolonged 18 month hiatus. After selling out back-to-back nights at Red Rocks in July – aka Deadrocks – Zeds Dead have taken their Deadbeats: The Revival Tour across North America; including appearances at festivals like Electric Zoo in NYC and North Coast Music Festival in Chicago. Upcoming dates include two sold-out homecoming shows in Toronto in November, before closing out the tour with two shows in Washington, DC in January.
With further singles slated to drop in the coming months, Zeds Dead are in full album mode as they gear up to drop just their second ever studio LP in early 2022.
