Apple Owes You? Claim Your Siri Settlement Check Now

If you’ve ever owned an Apple device with Siri between September 17, 2014, and December 31, 2024, you could be owed cash, up to $100, in fact.

Time’s running out to file your claim for the massive $95 million Siri snooping settlement, and the deadline is fast approaching: July 2, 2025. The settlement was reached after lawsuits accused Apple of violating privacy and consumer protection laws. Plaintiffs allege that Siri was secretly recording confidential conversations and sharing them with third parties due to accidental activation. Apple has denied all wrongdoing but still agreed to settle the case.

To snag your payout, you need to act fast. Eligible users can submit claims for up to five Siri devices, with a maximum cap of $20 per device. That said, your final check might be lower (or higher) depending on how many people apply and how many devices are claimed in total. But make no mistake, you won’t get anything if you miss the July 2 deadline. The court has scheduled the final approval hearing for August 1, 2025, at 9 a.m., which will determine the actual payment amount and when it’s distributed.

Eligible devices include any Apple product with Siri functionality purchased or used during the qualifying period, and you must have had private communications captured and shared without consent. If that’s you, congrats, you’re part of the class. However, not everyone qualifies. Apple itself, its directors, employees, legal reps, and even the judge and court staff on this case are excluded from the settlement.

So what is a class-action settlement anyway? Basically, it allows a group of people who’ve been wronged in the same way to come together and sue as one. In this case, the Siri users allege privacy violations, and the payout is Apple’s way of settling without admitting guilt. By filing, you’re also waiving the right to sue Apple separately over the same issue.

This settlement isn’t the only cash Americans can claim right now. T-Mobile has already started issuing the first round of $25,000 checks from its $350 million data breach settlement stemming from the 2021 cyberattack that exposed info from around 76 million customers. Whirlpool is also paying up after claims that some of its fridges, sold under brands like Whirlpool, Maytag, and KitchenAid, developed frost buildup that interfered with cooling.

Bottom line? If you used Siri in the past decade, you could have money waiting for you. But don’t wait too long, get that claim in before July 2, 2025, or you’ll be left out of Apple’s $95 million payout
