Created as attribute museum to honor the life of Tim Bergling, a.k.a Avicii, a true icon of our times, has been created as “A destination for fans and the public to celebrate the memory of an era-defining music creator.” The exhibition aims to give the audiences a closer look at the like of the artist as well as the person he was.

The aim of the museum is to give audiences a chance to peer into the world of music making through the eyes of Avicii as well as his collaborators and partners. As per the official webstite, the exhibit has been summed up as “An exclusive chance to discover unreleased music and untold stories. Learn, interact, explore and co-create as you move through the life and career of one of the greatest and most loved artists of all time.”

Earlier this week, the museum that has been 2.5 years in the making, was inaugurated by Swedish Royalty, H.R.H. Prince Carl-Philip and H.R.H. Princess Sofia, Tim’s father Klas Bergling as well as the creative director Ingmarie Halling, Content Producer Lisa Halling-Aadland and Pophouse Entertainment CEO Per Sundin.

In addition to celebrating the good times, the museum has made sure to touch upon his struggles as well. As mentioned in a Press release last week, they said, “Apart from Avicii’s incredible success and creative collaborations, the museum also sheds light on the heavier sides of the endless travel and gigs. For example, the exhibition features a visually and acoustically intense room, exemplifying the backsides of being a celebrated and constantly monitored superstar.”
