Elon Musk Destroys Trump’s ‘One Big Beautiful Bill’ in Viral Rant

Elon Musk has gone full savage on Donald Trump’s “big, beautiful” tax and spending bill – and let’s just say, he’s not sugar-coating anything.

Just days after stepping down as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency (yes, DOGE – and no, not the meme coin), Musk absolutely tore into the new bill on his platform X, calling it “a disgusting abomination” and “pork-filled.” Oof.

The billionaire tech mogul didn’t hold back, going full flamethrower mode on Trump’s shiny new proposal that promises trillions in tax breaks, more defense money, and funds for mass deportations. “I’m sorry, but I just can’t stand it anymore,” Musk ranted. “This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination.” He even called out Congress members directly, saying, “Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it.”

Elon Musk slamming Trump’s spending bill, couldn’t be more fitting. Musk has made it clear that he sees the bill as not only excessive but downright dangerous to America’s already shaky finances. “It will massively increase the already gigantic budget deficit to $2.5 trillion and burden American citizens with crushingly unsustainable debt. Congress is making America bankrupt,” he wrote, sparking chaos across political circles and Twitter, sorry – X.

Now, just to break down the backdrop a bit – the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” (yeah, that’s what it’s literally called) is Trump’s latest flex in his ongoing political saga. It pushes to extend the 2017 tax cuts and add even more tax breaks into the mix. According to the Congressional Budget Office, the bill would pile on another $3.8 trillion to the already sky-high $36.2 trillion national debt. And if that’s not enough, it also tries to lift the federal debt ceiling to a staggering $4 trillion.

Naturally, Speaker of the House Mike Johnson wasn’t thrilled with Musk’s scorched-earth take. “With all due respect, Elon is terribly wrong about the one big beautiful bill,” he said. Even White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt chimed in, brushing Musk’s meltdown off by saying, “The President already knows where Elon Musk stood on this bill,” and doubled down by calling it “one big, beautiful bill.”

So what changed? Just last week, Trump was singing Musk’s praises at his farewell press conference, calling his work “fantastic” and noting that Musk had helped cut tons of offshore USAID projects. Trump even said the two were still tight and Musk would “always be helping all the way.” But apparently, friendship ends where the national debt begins.

It’s still unclear who’s going to step into Musk’s DOGE-shaped shoes, but Leavitt hinted it might be a group effort moving forward. That could be interesting – or a total mess – depending on how you look at it. Either way, Musk’s fiery goodbye might just haunt Trump’s bill as it heads to the Senate. Republicans are pushing to get the bill passed and signed into law by July 4 – because what’s more American than exploding debt on Independence Day?

Musk, who’s been on a mission to trim government waste and make things “efficient” (read: less bloated and chaotic), has clearly had enough. And love him or hate him, when Elon tweets – sorry, X-posts – the world listens. Whether this high-drama political feud ends in fireworks or fizzles, one thing’s for sure: Musk isn’t going quietly.

Stay tuned. Because if there’s one thing we know about Elon Musk, it’s that he’s probably not done.
