Who Gets the April 16 Social Security Payment?

- Your birth date falls between the 11th and 20th of any month

Keep in mind: Supplemental Security Income (SSI) has a different payment schedule and typically lands on the 1st of each month. However, if you’re receiving both SSI and SSDI, your SSDI check may be included in this wave if your DOB and benefit start date match the requirements above.
What If You Don’t Get Paid on April 16?
If your birthdate is after the 20th, your check is scheduled for April 23. That’s the final round of payments for the month as part of the SSA’s regular four-week cycle.
Here’s a breakdown of the April payment calendar:
- April 10: For those born between the 1st–10th (already sent)
- April 16: Born between the 11th–20th (this week)
- April 23: Born between the 21st–31st
If your payment doesn’t arrive by the expected date, give it at least 3 business days before contacting the SSA. In most cases, a delay means the deposit is still processing through your bank or postal service.
