Trees N Trends Store Closure Hits These States – Check Your Location

After more than 30 years in business, beloved home décor chain Trees N Trends is officially deploying closures for all its stores.

The company, known for its seasonal home decorations, furniture, and Christmas trees, made the emotional announcement through a heartfelt social media post titled “End of an Era.” Shoppers across multiple states are preparing for final sales, with everything from furniture to festive items marked for deep discounts starting June 30 through July 7.

Owned by the Wallace family, Trees N Trends has been part of the American retail landscape since the 1990s. The family thanked both customers and long-time employees in their farewell message. “Running a retail store for home décor involves a lot of physical work. As the seasons change, so does the product mix,” they wrote. “Many of our employees have been with us 20 years, and some even 30 years. Many of these employees have been like family to us.”

Stores impacted by the closure include three locations in Kentucky, Paducah, Henderson, and Bowling Green, plus others in Jackson, Tennessee; Jonesboro, Arkansas; and Cape Girardeau, Missouri. All of these will close over the next several weeks and months. Posters announcing “Everything Must Go” have already gone up across store windows and social media channels.

Starting June 30, customers will have a chance to snag some serious bargains during the chain’s final liquidation sale. The sale is expected to include markdowns on popular items like home furniture, decorative goods, and even holiday décor like Christmas trees. To stay updated, shoppers are being encouraged to keep an eye on Trees N Trends’ Facebook page, where new deals and closing updates will be posted regularly.

Despite the shutdown, Trees N Trends has not filed for bankruptcy. The company is instead choosing to wind down operations through a controlled and customer-friendly process. Store hours during the liquidation period will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

The closure of Trees N Trends adds to the growing list of home décor retailers retreating from the market. At Home, another major player in the space, is currently closing 26 stores after filing for bankruptcy. And according to reports, more closures may be on the horizon.

At Home has been struggling under mounting economic pressures, including the lingering impact of tariffs placed on Chinese imports during Donald Trump’s presidency. Executives said these levies made operating costs “unsustainable.” On top of that, rising interest rates and stiff competition from discount retailers have only made things tougher.

While the closure of Trees N Trends is certainly the end of an era, the farewell hasn’t been met with anger but rather with nostalgia and appreciation for the memories created through decades of home styling. Loyal customers now have one last chance to walk through the aisles and score great deals before the doors officially close for good.
