Viral Labubu Doll Spotted at Ross for Just $4.99

In a twist that’s left collectors both stunned and skeptical, a shopper claims to have found a viral Labubu doll for just $4.99, yes, seriously.

The internet’s going wild over the alleged $4.99 Labubu doll at Ross after influencer Lauren Godwin posted a TikTok to her 22 million followers revealing her shocking find. While these quirky vinyl plush dolls usually sell out instantly online (and for way more), Lauren says she walked into Ross and casually found one on the shelf.

Labubu dolls, known for their giant eyes and mischievous grins, were originally created in China and sold at Pop Mart. They’ve become pop culture icons since going viral during the pandemic. But the hype exploded again in April 2024, when K-pop superstar Lisa from BLACKPINK started showing them off on Instagram. Since then, celebs like Kim Kardashian and Rihanna have also been spotted with them. Now, the dolls are sold out nearly everywhere online and fetch hundreds on resale sites.

Lauren’s video instantly blew up, with comments pouring in demanding to know exactly which Ross she found it at. “What Ross did you go to?” one user asked. Another said, “Where are you so I can know what Ross you are at?” Naturally, things got chaotic. While some fans celebrated the news, others called it cap. Several skeptics accused the video of being fake, even demanding Lauren post a receipt. Some Ross employees jumped in too, saying their stores don’t carry Labubu dolls at all. “Nope, I work at Ross, Texas; we don’t manage Labubus… yet,” one employee commented.

Others claimed similar things were happening at TJ Maxx and were equally doubtful. “Stop it because people are doing the same, claiming they found Labubus at TJ Maxx… we don’t carry them,” wrote one irritated commenter.

Still, Lauren stands by her post, insisting the $4.99 Labubu doll she found is the real deal, even though fans are still waiting on that receipt. Whether it was an inventory fluke or Ross is quietly stocking viral collectibles, one thing’s for sure: the hunt is officially on.

Here’s what Labubu dolls are actually going for online right now:

Labubu Edition Price (Approx.)
Labubu Tasty Macarons $43
Labubu Have a Seat $64.20
Labubu Coca-Cola Vinyl Face $63.13
Labubu Fall in Wild $107
Labubu Zimomo Angel in Clouds $413
Labubu x Prnounce Wings of Fantasy $1,019

For fans of the viral plushie who’ve been priced out or stuck waiting for restocks, the chance to grab a Labubu doll for just under five bucks seems almost too good to be true. Real or not, it’s clear the Labubu craze is far from dying down. And if Lauren’s video is legit, it may have just given fans a reason to start combing the aisles of Ross stores across the country.
