Justin Tucker Suspended 10 Games Over Allegations

NFL kicker Justin Tucker has been suspended for 10 games of the 2025 season following allegations of sexual misconduct involving multiple massage therapists.

The decision, confirmed by NFL insider Adam Schefter, drops a massive cloud over the 35-year-old former Ravens player, who is currently unsigned and now sidelined until at least Week 11, if he finds a team willing to take a chance on him.

Tucker’s camp quickly issued a response, stating disappointment with the league’s decision and reiterating his denial of the claims. “Justin has always strived to carry himself in a way that would make his family and community proud,” the statement said. “We have advised Justin to accept this resolution and close this matter.”

The accusations stem from 16 massage therapists across eight spas in the Baltimore area, who alleged inappropriate conduct by the veteran kicker. Tucker, who spent 13 seasons with the Ravens, has vehemently denied the claims, issuing a lengthy personal statement in which he maintained his innocence. He stressed that he had never been made aware of being unwelcome at any massage therapy practice and expressed regret that any professional might have felt disrespected or uncomfortable.

In his statement, Tucker acknowledged the importance of massage therapy in his athletic career and personal life. “Both my wife and I continue to count so many of those professionals as our friends,” he said, calling the allegations “simply not true.” He emphasized that physical therapy has been key to his long-term success on the field and insisted he holds immense respect for the profession.

Despite his firm denials, the Ravens officially released Tucker on May 5. At 35 and now suspended for over half of the regular season, his future in the NFL looks bleak. While there’s always the chance a team might give him a second shot after Week 10, the harsh spotlight of the scandal makes that path uncertain.

The NFL has remained largely silent on specifics but confirmed the length of the suspension. With no criminal charges filed at this time, the league likely acted under its personal conduct policy, which allows it to discipline players even without a legal conviction.

Tucker’s case comes in the middle of a broader crackdown by the league on off-field behavior. His situation echoes the NFL’s increasing tendency to act swiftly on allegations, whether or not they make it to court. The message is clear, behavior that brings the league into disrepute will have consequences.

As for what’s next, Tucker remains a free agent. If a team picks him up midseason, he could still technically return for a playoff run. But at this point, the odds seem slim. And with the 2025 season packed with major dates, free agency kicking off March 12, the NFL Draft set for April 24–26, and the season opener on September 4, the spotlight isn’t shifting away from him anytime soon.

For now, the only certainty is that one of the most consistent legs in NFL history won’t be kicking any field goals this fall.
