It seems as if Excision and the gang over at Rottun Recordings are really spoiling us. After the killer remixes of the label boss’ “Virus” project, we get not only the banging new single from Dion Timmer, we also get a mix from Timmer too – we’re definitely considering ourselves lucky.
First off is the track Berzerk, a brooding, melancholic cut of dark bass heavy dubstep. For Timmer, who is known for his ear catching melodic bass driven sound, is a bit of a departure but it’s a good one as we get to see the versatility in his style and shows the 18 year old is developing and growing as an artist.
Then after you’ve banged your head to “Berzerk” you can check out “Neon Mix 2: Lost Lands Edition,” where we get a glimpse of Dion Timmer the DJ – it’s a hour of big beats and dynamic bass drops.
