Zara Larsson is totally in awe of Tate McRae, and honestly, same. The Swedish pop star is getting ready to open for Tate on her Miss Possessive Tour, and she can’t stop gushing about her. Speaking to People, Zara said she’s blown away by Tate’s maturity and drive, especially considering she’s only 21. “She seems so mature, like she’s been doing this for a really long time,” Zara said, clearly impressed. “I’m so in awe of her work ethic and how hard she goes at it.”

And considering Zara herself has been hustling in the music industry for years, it’s high praise. She admitted that Tate’s constant grind is inspiring to watch and that her passion for her craft shines through everything she does.
What’s really got Zara inspired, though, is Tate’s dancing. She said she admires how Tate fully leans into that side of her artistry and owns it. “I feel really inspired by the way she really has embraced her dancing side. I would love to dance more,” she shared. Looks like Tate might be influencing Zara’s next stage moves, too.
Tate McRae, for her part, is just out here manifesting everything like a pro. She recently told Pride that she’s a “very goal-driven person” with her eyes set on major milestones, one being performing at the VMAs, which she’s dreamed about for years. “I would die to perform at the VMAs,” she said. “That specific performance is something I’ve always wanted.” She even described her ideal show as a perfect blend of dance, vocals, outfit, and arrangement. Sounds like she knows exactly what she wants and how to get it.
Tate’s rise has been wild. Just four years ago, she played her first show for about 100 people at The Moroccan Lounge in L.A. Fast forward to now, and she’s headlining three nights at the Kia Forum. She’s not just dreaming big, she’s making it happen. And with artists like Zara Larsson cheering her on and opening her shows, the energy on this tour is about to be next-level.
