Review: #SOA Celebration Weekend with W&W – Pune

The #SOA050 Celebration Weekend, Pune had the perfect line-up you would expect from India’s leading power house and pioneer of dance music, Sunburn Festival celebrating 50 episodes of their radio show, “Sunburn On Air”.

The line-up consisted of Dutch production and DJ duo, W&W, who have transcended the boundaries of genre and traversed the globe with their music and performances, the Bassjackers duo of Marlon and Ralph out of which Marlon recently played a barnstorming set at the MTV Bloc Party, (S)haan who is the 1st Indian DJ to perform at Tomorrowland and one of the busiest DJs in the country who also hosts the “Sunburn On Air” radio show, Anish Sood. Frankly, you can’t go wrong with this line-up.

As we entered the venue, we saw happy faces everywhere, something you would expect from a Dance Music festival. Straddled with our party essentials it was only a matter of time before mayhem came knocking at Pune’s Amanora Park. Parked before the stage, was a large crowd, filled with enthusiasm and a number of dance moves in their arsenal.

Anish Sood followed by Shaan opened the night quite perfectly.

Needless to say, Bassjackers raged hard, dropping bangers by the dozen. Elements of a perfect night, in my opinion.

W&W followed it up with similar madness dropping a host of unreleased tunes and their own bangers. The kind you’d expect to knock your socks off.

For those of who couldn’t attend. We have compiled a list of the top 10 tracks which rocked #SOA050, Pune.

1. GTA X TJR – Mic Check

2. Dillon Francis, DJ Snake – Get Low (W&W Remix)
