Brittany Hickman, a young woman, has filed a lawsuit against Steve Aoki for breaking her neck!
An incident that happened three years ago at the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego is coming back to haunt Aoki as he recovers from his recent surgery.
Video footage shows Aoki jumping off a 20 foot scaffolding onto a raft surfing the crowd. Brittany stated that the jump caused serious damage to her ankle and broke her neck as she was directly under the raft where Aoki landed.
The lawsuit extends to include the Hard Rock Hotel as well as Aoki.
Steve Aoki had the following statement to make.
“I would never want anyone to get hurt at any of my shows and feel badly that someone has, but at this time I have been advised by my attorneys to not speak about this as it’s going to trial. Thank you for your understanding.”
The case is set to take place on August 28 at the San Diego Supreme Court.
