Alec Baldwin wants more kids, and he’s not shy about it.
The 67-year-old actor already has a huge family, including Ireland, 29, from his marriage to Kim Basinger, and seven kids with his current wife, Hilaria Baldwin – Carmen, Rafael, Leonardo, Romeo, Eduardo, Lucia, and Ilaria. But apparently, that still isn’t enough. According to Hilaria, Alec is seriously hoping to add another baby to their growing brood.
Talking to Tori Spelling on the misSPELLING podcast, Hilaria admitted, “Oh, Alec really wants more kids, like really, really.” She’s not totally ruling it out either, although right now, she says she’s just plain exhausted. “If it’s meant to be, yeah, we’ll see. It’s always been a beautiful thing when we’ve had another kid.”
Hilaria, 41, understands why Alec wants more. For him, kids equal joy. She explained that babies bring him a kind of happiness he craves, calling them “magical.” Still, after everything they’ve been through, she’s taking a more cautious approach.
Back in 2019, the couple tried IVF. Things looked good – until Hilaria tragically lost the pregnancy four or five months in. “It was not a fun experience, obviously, and one that is all too common,” she said. That was the only time she went through IVF, and after that, she got pregnant naturally again.
The couple still had an embryo left after the IVF round, but Hilaria didn’t feel right about trying to carry it herself. She felt like her body had rejected the process. “I was so sure at that time, I was like, I can’t,” she said. Instead, they chose surrogacy, and that’s how Lucia was born – just months after Eduardo.
Most recently, Hilaria gave birth to their daughter Ilaria in 2023. At the time, she told Romper that the baby was “probably, most definitely, almost completely” her last. But even then, she wasn’t totally confident saying it out loud. “I’m always afraid to say it,” she admitted. “I was putting away my maternity clothes recently and was like, ‘I’m afraid to give them away, because then I’ll find out I’m pregnant.’”
So, will Alec Baldwin get his wish? It’s still up in the air. But one thing’s clear – even with a house full of kids, Alec is still dreaming of more late-night feedings, diapers, and newborn cuddles. Whether Hilaria’s too tired or not, he’s clearly not done being a dad.
