When Lily Allen and David Harbour first announced their marriage, fans of the celebrities were ecstatic.

According to the “Smile” songstress, she felt completely blindsided in their marriage, when the Thunderbolts star expressed wanting an open marriage just months into their union. This took Allen by complete surprise, since, as sources report, she only had eyes for the Stranger Things star, and had no interest in being with anyone else.
But as inside sources reveal, the Marvel actor had different plans. “Pre-wedding they were totally monogamous, at least as far as she knew,” a source revealed to the gossip outlet, DeuxMoi. “Once they got married, she had to go away for work, and he told her he would need to hook up with women while she was gone because he couldn’t go that long without sex.”
Allen reluctantly agreed, but only if they could have strict rules in place: No catching feelings, no long term hookups, and only pursuing strangers as opposed to co-workers/friends/etc.

But unfortunately, according to the report, Harbour failed to comply with the rules they set in place. As inside sources reveal, the Stranger Things star had a secret girlfriend for three years into their five-year marriage, with a 27-year-old costume designer.
Allen seemingly threw jabs at her former husband after this revelation, stating on her Miss Me? Podcast, “Aging is particularly inconvenient if you get your validation from the attention of men, which I do… They seem to like them young, don’t they?” When her podcast host suggested this not to be true, Allen went on, saying, “Oh, I think you’ll find it is! I think you’ll find it is.” The singer went on to say, “Older women can see the unattractiveness of men better than young, dumb women, which is why, essentially, men like them young and dumb.”

After the bombshell was dropped of the Thunderbolt star’s alleged three-year-long affair, Allen said during her podcast that she has “red flag” behavior in her romantic relationships, where the only affection and validation she wants is from her partner. As a result, the singer admits she becomes very codependent with her significant others.
She said on the podcast, “It’s incredibly red flag, codependent behavior. I just put all my emotional dependency on one person.”

While guest starring on Lily Allen’s “Miss Me?” Podcast, David Harbour opened up about his “biggest ick” about his then-wife, when asked. According to the Stranger Things actor, he didn’t like how while he was “trying to live his life,” Allen would stop him from whatever he was doing so they could be in the same space together. Yet according to Harbour, she wouldn’t engage with him during these instances. Instead, she’d just go about what she was doing.

According to Harbour, Allen prefers to be in each other’s company in silence, while the Stranger Things actor wants to connect, and talk about life. At one point, according to The Daily Mail, Harbour even expressed his insecurities about their mismatched communication styles to Allen, and wondered if they worked as a pair. He allegedly said, “I’m scared, are we ok? I feel like we don’t have things to say to each other”.
He continued, saying he prefers to have deep discussions. ‘I’m like, ‘let’s get into it’, let’s talk about the universe and what we’re meant to be here doing’,” he said on her podcast. Meanwhile, the “Smile” singer doesn’t tend to connect that way, according to Harbour.
