David Harbour and Lily Allen sparked dating rumors after being spotted cozying up at Knicks games, tea parties, and SNL after parties.
The Stranger Things star and “Smile” songstress went official after Lily Allen posted a since-deleted Instagram post of David Harbour on SNL, with the caption, “Mine.”
While the pair mostly kept their relationship under wraps for privacy reasons, fans were thrilled to learn that the pair got hitched in 2020. Yet despite their ever-growing celebrity status, Harbour and Allen decided to have a very low key wedding. In fact, they took the kitschy route by tying the knot in Los Vegas with an Elvis impersonator as their officiator. This was followed up by a newly wed meal at In N’ Out Burger.

Despite the low-key nature of their nuptials, their whirlwind romance was anything but. The star-studded couple met after matching on the dating app, Raya. Yet as we’re now learning, according to the UK-based songstress, the way their relationship started was a direct reflection of how it would eventually end.

Fans of the Thunderbolts Star and the “Never Gonna Happen” crooner couldn’t stop gushing over Allen and Harbour’s seemingly perfect relationship. Based on their adorable #couplegoals Instagram posts along with their viral interview for Architectural Digest, the two seemed practically destined for one another.
Yet sadly, it all came crashing down when the “Shame For You” singer alleges to discovering Harbour’s secretly active Raya account. Allen claims she was able to uncover this piece of information when redownloading the app herself, only to find Harbour’s profile still activated on the dating platform.
But it gets worse: According to Allen, Harbour had been in a secret relationship for three years during their marriage. (Not very Hopper-like.)

According to Lily Allen, she and David Harbour had the most starry-eyed beginnings. Which is why, as the podcaster reveals, she was completely blindsided when Harbour told her he wanted them to be in an open relationship. According to the “F*ck You” songstress, he laid this pivotal bombshell on her just months after they’d already tied the knot.
A source revealed to the Gossip site Deuxmoi, “Pre-wedding they were totally monogamous, at least as far as she knew. Once they got married, she had to go away for work, and he told her he would need to hook up with women while she was gone because he couldn’t go that long without sex.” (Report.)
The source continued, claiming that the “Stranger Things” star pressured his then-wife into an open marriage, despite her going into the relationship assuming they would be a monogamous couple. Although she reluctantly agreed to his request for an open marriage, which he allegedly treated like a “non-negotiable,” she was reportedly devastated to be blindsided in such a way by the man she loved.
But as is the case for most marriages who take the “open relationship” route, they had several strict terms and conditions in place so as not to cross any boundaries. According to the source, the couple agreed to only hook up with strangers, and wouldn’t pursue anything long-term. Yet those rules were broken when Allen discovered her then-husband was engaging in a secret affair with a 27 year old costume designer he’d met on a film set. According to inside sources, the Marvel actor wasn’t secretive about their affair, and would flaunt her on set. “David flew her to Atlanta while he shot Stranger Things to keep him company,” the source reveals.

According to Allen, she’s devastated about this betrayal of trust, and is doing everything within her power to recover from this heartbreak so she can be there for her two daughters. But in an extremely candid episode on her podcast show, Allen admitted how much she was struggling post-divorce. “I’m finding it really hard to be interested in anything,” “The Fear” singer confessed on the podcast. “I’ve been spiralling and spiralling, and it’s gotten out of control.” The songstress continued, saying, “It’s like I can’t focus on anything except the pain I’m going through.”
