Donald Trump Jr. mocks Jill Biden. just hours after the White House announced that President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer.
The news broke on May 18 that the 82-year-old president received his diagnosis two days earlier on May 16. But instead of offering support, Trump Jr. took to social media to fire a sharp barb at the former first lady.
In a post on X, the president’s eldest son questioned how Jill Biden, who holds a doctorate in education, could have missed such a serious health issue. “What I want to know is how did Dr. Jill Biden miss stage five metastatic cancer, or is this yet another coverup???” Trump Jr. wrote, falsely claiming the cancer was stage 5 when Joe Biden is officially diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer that has spread to his bones, according to The New York Times.
The comment quickly drew attention and criticism. When one user suggested the diagnosis was being used to cover up the fact Joe was “running the country as a vegetable,” Don Jr. agreed, replying, “Without question.” The very next day, May 19, Trump Jr. doubled down in a lengthy post accusing the Bidens of hiding the truth about Joe Biden’s health and mental state. “Joe says he had cancer 2 years ago & everyone said it’s a gaffe. When he clearly had dementia, everyone said he was lucid. Now that he’s no longer useful, they’re all shocked that they missed it,” he wrote. “Everyone was in on the cover-up! Who was running the country? We need accountability!”
Despite his harsh tone, Trump Jr. did post one message early on that seemed supportive. After the diagnosis became public, he reposted a statement on X saying, “Joe Biden has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Politics aside, we wish him a speedy recovery!” and added, “Agreed 100%.” But that brief moment of goodwill quickly gave way to attacks.

Joe Biden himself addressed his diagnosis a few days after learning it privately, posting a photo with Jill on X on May 19. “Cancer touches us all. Like so many of you, Jill and I have learned that we are strongest in the broken places. Thank you for lifting us up with love and support,” the president wrote. It was a personal and heartfelt message that contrasted sharply with Trump Jr.’s politically charged posts.

Jill Biden, 73, has stayed mostly out of the spotlight during this difficult time. Meanwhile, the controversy sparked by Donald Trump Jr.’s remarks has ignited public backlash, with many accusing him of exploiting a serious illness for political gain.
The diagnosis is a tough chapter for Joe and Jill Biden, who have faced this news privately since May 16. The former first lady’s doctorate degree and role in his care haven’t stopped Trump Jr. from targeting her in a way that many see as cruel and disrespectful.
Donald Trump Jr.’s history of mocking Jill Biden shows no signs of stopping, but this time, his comments about her missing such a serious cancer diagnosis have stirred real controversy. With Joe battling stage 4 prostate cancer and public support pouring in, the political drama is far from over.
