Holly Madison is finally opening up about her long-standing fallout with former Girls Next Door co-star Kendra Wilkinson, and she’s ready to bury the hatchet.
In a new interview with Us Weekly, Holly admitted she would love to patch things up with Kendra, even though she’s unsure where her old friend stands today. The 45-year-old said, “It would be nice to be on good terms for sure, but I really don’t know where she’s at.” That’s about as honest as it gets, and it shows Holly is truly hoping to reconnect.
The former reality star reflected on what went wrong in their friendship, and she’s pointing fingers at the people behind the cameras. According to Holly, the executive producers who worked on both her and Kendra’s shows after Girls Next Door played a big role in creating drama. She hinted that the issues weren’t entirely between them, saying, “I look back at our relationship and what went wrong, and I see a lot of fault with executive producers.”
And it gets messier, Holly doesn’t even think Kendra knows the full story. She said their original falling out may have been manipulated by someone who was actually giving Kendra a job at the time. “I just don’t know how aware she was of it… the person who was starting a lot of the drama was a person who was giving her a job. So she doesn’t want to see that.” That line alone speaks volumes about how tangled things got behind the scenes.
Just recently, Holly also described The Girls Next Door as a “little cult bubble,” explaining to E! News why it’s one of those shows that could never be rebooted. “It was like catching this little cult bubble in real time,” she said. “You can watch it for all the eye candy like the first time it came out and say, ‘Oh my God, look how fun.’ Or you can watch it knowing about all the stuff going on behind the scenes, and that adds a whole other layer.” For fans who grew up watching the show, that’s a big statement, suggesting there was way more going on than viewers ever saw.
While Holly and Kendra haven’t reconnected just yet, Holly has found joy in reuniting with fellow co-star Bridget Marquardt. The two have been diving deep into all the wild behind-the-scenes moments on their re-watch podcast, Girls Next Level. “We’re going into season four now, and there’s just so much to talk about. It kind of takes on a whole life of its own for sure,” she said. It’s giving fans a new way to revisit the chaos, drama, and unexpected sisterhood that came with life at the Playboy Mansion.
Now, with Holly putting the olive branch out there, the big question is, will Kendra respond? Fans of the show and both women are hoping for a reunion, or at least a moment of closure. After all, if there’s anything reality TV taught us, it’s that anything is possible.
