Justin Bieber’s recent public appearances and private decisions have his friends reportedly hitting the panic button.
According to multiple sources, the 31-year-old pop star is partying hard, spending big, and not making nearly enough to sustain it. “He hasn’t worked in a really long time,” one source told Page Six, adding that Bieber’s lavish lifestyle is starting to raise serious concerns among those closest to him.
Bieber’s net worth is estimated at around $300 million, thanks in large part to his $200 million deal in 2023 that sold the rights to his music catalog. But sources say his finances might not be as solid as they seem, especially given that he hasn’t released a new album since 2021’s Justice and hasn’t toured in years.
During a recent trip to Coachella, Bieber was reportedly spending upwards of $300,000 on just one night at Nobu, flying in friends on private jets and posting it all to social media. His team denies the claim about Nobu, but footage surfaced showing Bieber shirtless and smoking marijuana near his 15-year-old brother Jaxon. Hailey Bieber appeared to subtly steer Jaxon away from the scene.
“He’s literally going on Instagram Live, smoking weed and looking out of his mind,” the insider said.
There’s also buzz about Bieber distancing himself from his longtime inner circle, including manager Scooter Braun, who helped launch his career, and best friend Ryan Good, who co-founded Drew House with him. In a now-deleted Instagram post, Bieber told fans to stop buying from Drew House, saying the brand “doesn’t represent me or my family or life” anymore.
One of the most surprising turns? Bieber has seemingly handed over increasing influence to pastor Judah Smith of Churchome, a Beverly Hills-based megachurch. Sources claim Smith has been added to several of Bieber’s business boards and even received luxury gifts, including a $300,000 Rolex. One insider described Smith as “the consigliere around him.”
Hailey, who runs the skincare brand Rhode, is said to be stepping into the breadwinner role, but sources familiar with Rhode say the brand hasn’t made money yet. “It’s all going back into marketing,” said one source. “If they sell, she’ll make a lot of money. But right now, there’s no cash flow.”
Meanwhile, fans have noticed Bieber’s conspicuous absence from recent family moments. Hailey posted Easter photos with their 8-month-old son, Jack Blues Bieber, but Justin was nowhere in sight. Sources speculate the couple is experiencing marital tensions, which may be compounding his erratic behavior.
Bieber has been candid about his mental health struggles. In March, he posted on Instagram, “I think I hate myself sometimes when I feel myself start to become inauthentic,” and admitted he has “anger issues” that he’s trying to manage. Just weeks later, he lashed out at paparazzi in Palm Springs, shouting, “All you care about is money, not human beings.”
Some say it’s time Bieber grows up. “He’s not a kid anymore. He’s a grown man with a child,” one source said. “At what point does it become Justin’s fault?”
