One user fired back: “Bro… you never had $6 billion.” Another piled on: “You never had 1.” Some critics called him “artistically dead” while others slammed the post as “embarrassing,” accusing Ye of throwing away his career for shock value.
Let’s rewind. In 2022, Ye was reportedly worth around $2 billion, with the bulk of that tied to his now-terminated Adidas partnership. After making multiple antisemitic comments, publicly praising Hitler and sharing swastika images, Adidas, Balenciaga, and others cut ties. By 2023, Forbes slashed his net worth down to around $400 million.
So where is this $6 billion figure coming from? Likely nowhere credible.
At his peak, Kanye was one of the richest entertainers alive, thanks to Yeezy. But now, the bulk of his reported wealth stems from:
- His music catalog
- Real estate assets
- A stake in Kim Kardashian’s brand SKIMS
None of which come close to $6 billion, making his claim both questionable and unverified.
Even after public backlash, Ye hasn’t apologized. In fact, he’s leaned in harder. His site briefly sold swastika-emblazoned T-shirts, and he posted “IM A NAZI” on X earlier this year. Those posts have since been deleted, but the damage is done, and his reputation keeps nosediving.
He’s also continued taking jabs at ex-wife Kim Kardashian, accusing her of controlling their four kids, and stirring controversy with each new post.
