Things are messy between Kath Ebbs and JoJo Siwa, and it’s all playing out in public. The 27-year-old podcaster and actor, who identifies as non-binary, is firing back after JoJo’s explosive interview about their breakup made headlines.
The former couple reportedly split at the Celebrity Big Brother wrap party, where JoJo claimed the breakup went down in dramatic fashion, complete with curse words and confrontation.
JoJo opened up on The Viall Files podcast, saying Kath didn’t initially want to attend the party but eventually did, and once there, tensions boiled over. “I’m getting cussed out,” she said, describing the situation. She also mentioned that Kath kept asking about the state of their relationship. After being pushed multiple times, JoJo finally said, “If you ask me tomorrow, I don’t know my answer. If you ask me right now, my answer is yes.” That moment reportedly marked the end of the relationship.
But Kath has a very different version of what happened, and they’re not keeping quiet. In a statement to E! News, they addressed JoJo’s public comments, saying, “It’s really unfortunate that my relationship with this person is being reduced to untrue allegations about what happened at a party.” Kath made it clear they feel misrepresented, adding, “The public has only heard one side of the story. Attacks on my character are not something I take lightly, especially from someone I cared for deeply and shared a committed relationship with.”
Rumors have been swirling that JoJo’s connection with fellow Celebrity Big Brother housemate Chris Hughes may have played a role in the breakup, but JoJo shut that down too. “Christopher is not one of them,” she said. “I actually told this to Kath, like, ‘Maybe it would be easier if he was!’ But he is not one of them… Don’t paint it out to look like I cheated on you with him because I did not… I would not, and I have not.”
JoJo also hinted that the breakup brought clarity. “The second that I had a time to think… My brain just started to run with so many things that I have been OK with, that I have tolerated, that nobody should.” While she didn’t dive into specifics, it’s clear the split stirred up a lot of unresolved issues.
