Khloé Kardashian didn’t hit the blue carpet at the 2025 Met Gala, but she still stole the show, from her couch.
On Monday, May 5, the reality star turned full-time babysitter for the night and stayed home with the younger Kardashian-Jenner crew while her sisters served fashion realness at the biggest event of the year.
She shared clips on Instagram Stories showing her watching the live broadcast with the kids, cheering on Kim, Kendall, and Kylie as they strutted the carpet. The room lit up with screams of “Auntie Kenny! Auntie Kenny!” when Kendall appeared on screen. When Kim made her entrance, Khloé called out to her daughter Chicago, who adorably shouted, “Wow, yay Mommy!” And when it was Kylie’s turn, one of the kids started belting out “Hot to Go!” by Chappell Roan like it was their personal concert.
Earlier that day, Khloé posted some cute poolside moments too, her daughter True, 7; her son Tatum, 2; and cousin Chicago, 7, danced around to Moana music, clearly vibing as Khloé played lifeguard and DJ.
Even though most of the little ones stayed behind, Kim’s oldest, North West, had a VIP pass to the Met prep. The 11-year-old was right there with her mom, giving live fashion feedback before the red carpet. Kim told Vogue’s Emma Chamberlain that North is now a mini Joan Rivers in training, full of opinions, but with a kind streak. Kim loved how North brought a “just be yourself” energy to the night and was all about supporting personal style.
This year’s Met Gala theme spotlighted “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” and was co-chaired by Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams, and Anna Wintour, with LeBron James serving as honorary chair. The red carpet embraced Black dandyism and tailored couture, and yes, the Kardashians fully understood the assignment.
Kim rocked a crocodile leather Chrome Hearts two-piece with off-the-shoulder drama, a train, pearls, diamonds, and a wide-brimmed leather hat that screamed high-fashion cowboy. Kylie slayed in a custom Ferragamo gown with a sharp corset and leg-baring slit, while Kendall went sleek and powerful in a plunging custom Torishéju suit-dress hybrid with serious sparkle.
But even with all the glamour, Khloé’s babysitting night felt just as iconic. From couch cheering to kid karaoke, she might’ve missed the carpet, but she didn’t miss the moment.
